I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season with your family and loved ones! I am so grateful for my family and friends, I am lucky to have them in my life. If you are reading this blog then you are either a current friend or soon to be friend so thank you!
With the new year, many people have New Years resolutions like “I’m going to lose weight” or “I’m going to eat healthier” or “I’m going to spend more time with the kids or wife or husband or family”. These are all great goals and resolutions but I challenge you to do something in addition to that and dig deeper. Instead of just having goals, what is your is your life’s mission statement? Do you have a mission statement for your life? If you don’t, why not? Most companies have mission statements, non profits have mission statements, and even government agencies have mission statements, so why can’t you!?
Why can’t you live your life with purpose and have crystal clear clarity on why you were put on this earth? Were you put on this earth to live a mediocre life or to live a life of abundance? I was put here to live abundantly and I know you were too! Abundance does not just come in money, it comes in love, connection, contribution, growth, faith, and so much more!
So I would like to share my mission statement with you:
“I, Joshua Inglis, see, hear, feel, and know the purpose of my life is to be passionate, joyful, and grateful, enjoying the perfection of every moment, and do the absolute best I can by loving myself, others, and God.”
When you begin creating your mission statement all I ask is that you do not use your head but that you use your heart. When you declare your mission statement you should say it with authority and use your entire body, this way you internalize it with every fiber of your being. You should also declare it every day because repetition creates mastery. Do not worry about getting it perfect, my mission statement is still a work in progress and I am sure I will make modifications to it over time. What I do know for a fact is that having a mission statement for my life is a game changer and it will be for you too! Many blessings!
